Booking Terms & Conditions

Deposit

A 25% deposit is required to book sessions, in the form of cash, debit, or credit card. If your deposit is not received within 5 business days from your booked session, your time will unfortunately be forfeited to another client. Sessions will not be booked without a deposit.

Rates

Jukasa Media Group believes that our studio is very competitive with similar studios at this level. Every project is unique; please inquire about a quote that best fits your needs and schedule.

We offer standard flat rates, hourly rates, and can block weeks or months if desired.

Cancellations or Rescheduling

When cancelling or rescheduling a booked session, 48 hours of notice is required. The current deposit will be used as a credit towards rescheduling a new session. There will be no refunds. No-shows and cancellations within the 48-hour time frame will result in a loss of deposit.

Storage and Insurance

At Jukasa Media Group, we make every effort to keep your data safe during the duration of your project. Because of the possibility of unexpected equipment failures, we advise clients to bring their own hard drives in addition to store and back up their data at the end of every session. Recordings will not be stored long term (90 days +) on our studio hard drives. All mixes, hard drives, masters, etc. will remain the property of Jukasa Media Group until the client pays all invoices in full. Jukasa Media Group may not be held responsible for lost, damaged or destroyed session media.

Payment

Payment must be made in the form of cash, e-transfer, debit, or credit card, and is due at the end of each session. Please note if using a credit card that there is an added 3% charge to offset transaction fees. If you prefer to use a personal cheque, please notify the studio prior to booking a session.

Day of Session

Clients should arrive early for their session, as they will be billed from the agreed upon session start time. If you are unable to make it to your session, please inform us before then or you will forfeit your deposit. Setup time and breaks are also billed at the agreed upon hourly rate.

Blocked Sessions

Blocked sessions are based on 10 hours per day for 2 or more consecutive days.

Accommodations

Jukasa Media Group is a fully featured recording/mixing/mastering studio located in the laid back suburbs of Hamilton, Ontario. Amongst acres of beautiful countryside, Jukasa’s environment is an area of designated natural beauty and will inspire and ignite your creativity. Although Jukasa is tucked away in the country, it is a short distance to many great local restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, shops and more.

For artists seeking the height of luxury, personal space and privacy, Jukasa offers on-site living accommodations.

We offer two apartments with hardwood floors, including a full kitchen with granite countertops, a living room with a 60” HD TV & HD satellite, a full private bathroom, two bedrooms with queen-size beds, and free wi-fi access.
